FED:Ex-minister to watch flood levy spending

CANBERRA, Feb 7 AAP - Prime Minister Julia Gillard has turned to a former Howard government
minister to ensure taxpayers' money is spent wisely in the flood recovery effort.
The move to appoint former NSW premier and ex-finance minister John Fahey to head a
"reconstruction inspectorate" comes a day before federal parliament sits for the first
time in 2011.
Ms Gillard and Opposition Leader Tony Abbott will join other MPs and senators in Canberra
in speaking to a motion paying tribute to the heroes …
